What this site is
It is a portfolio: a description of my studies, projects and work history, published so that prospective employers, collaborators and clients can see what I do. It is informational. It does not sell anything, take payment, or provide a service you can sign up for.
Accuracy
I have written everything here in good faith and believe it to be accurate at the date above. Project descriptions, dates and the résumés linked from the home page are summaries; they are not warranted to be complete, and a site like this inevitably goes out of date between updates.
Nothing here is professional, engineering, financial or legal advice, and it should not be relied on as the basis for any decision without checking with me first. If you spot something that has gone stale or looks wrong, please tell me and I will correct it.
Freelance and contract work
I do take paid freelance engineering work. Nothing on this site is an offer capable of acceptance, a quotation, or a commitment to take on any particular piece of work, and browsing the site does not create a client relationship between us.
Any engagement is governed by a separate written agreement made before the work starts. Scope, fees, payment terms, cancellation and any refund arrangements live in that agreement, which takes precedence over these terms in the event of a conflict. Because this site sells nothing and collects no payment, there is no purchase to refund and no cancellation right arising from the site itself.
Intellectual property
The text, design, photographs and source code of this site are mine and are protected by copyright. The résumé PDFs are mine.
You are welcome to read, print or share a link to any of it, and to quote short extracts with attribution — for example when considering me for a role. Please do not republish the site wholesale, present my work or résumé as your own, or use my name or photograph to imply that I endorse something.
The typefaces used here — JetBrains Mono and Instrument Serif — are third-party works used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1 and are not covered by the above; their licence travels with them. Third-party names and marks that appear on the site, such as those of universities, employers and clients, belong to their respective owners and are used descriptively to say where I studied and worked.
Links to other sites
Where I link to LinkedIn, GitHub, Google Maps or an employer's website, that is for convenience and reference. I do not control those sites, I am not responsible for their content, and a link is not an endorsement of everything on the other end of it.
Acceptable use
Please do not:
- use the site for anything unlawful, or in a way that breaches anyone's rights;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its host or any connected system;
- knowingly introduce malicious code;
- scrape or automate against the site in a way that degrades it for others;
- harvest the email address published here for bulk or unsolicited marketing.

The site is provided as it is, without any warranty that it will be available, uninterrupted or error-free. I may change, move or take down any part of it at any time without notice.

Privacy
How this site handles personal data is set out in the privacy policy and the cookie policy. In short: it collects nothing, stores nothing on your device, and contacts no third-party server.

I may update these terms from time to time. The version published here, with the date at the top, is the one that applies.
Law and jurisdiction
These terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.
