This is a personal portfolio site. It has no accounts, no forms, no shopping basket, no comments and no analytics. Nothing about you is collected by me directly, and nothing is stored on your device.

Who is responsible
The data controller for this site is Pushkar Kodigehalli Umesh, an individual based in Nottingham, United Kingdom. You can reach me at [email protected].
What this site collects
Directly, nothing. There is no form to submit, no newsletter to join, no login, and no tracking script of any kind. The site does not use Google Analytics, Plausible, Fathom, advertising pixels or any comparable tool.
What does happen is ordinary web serving. To send you this page, my host has to receive a request from your device, and it keeps short-lived records of those requests for security and reliability:
- Data
- IP address, user-agent string, the URL requested, timestamp, and approximate country — the standard contents of a web server log.
- Who holds it
- Cloudflare, Inc., which hosts this site on Cloudflare Pages and sits in front of it as a CDN and DDoS filter. I do not have access to a per-visitor log and I do not export, analyse or retain one.
- Why
- Legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR: delivering the page you asked for, and keeping the site available and protected from abuse. There is no marketing or profiling purpose.
- How long
- Governed by Cloudflare's own retention schedule, not mine. Their edge logs are typically retained for a matter of days.
- Where
- Cloudflare is a US company operating a global network, so this data may be processed outside the UK. Those transfers are covered by Cloudflare's standard contractual clauses and UK addendum.
Cookies and local storage
This site sets no cookies at all, and writes nothing to
localStorage, sessionStorage or IndexedDB.
Because nothing is stored on or read from your device beyond what is
strictly necessary to transmit the page, no consent banner is required
under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations. The
cookie policy sets this out in full.
Fonts are served from this site
The two typefaces this site uses are hosted here rather than loaded from
Google Fonts. That is deliberate: a webfont fetched from
fonts.gstatic.com would disclose your IP address to Google
on every page view, without your knowledge and with no way to refuse it
short of blocking the request. Self-hosting removes that entirely.
The result is that loading this page contacts no third-party
server whatsoever. Every image, stylesheet, script and font
comes from pushkarku.com.
Links to other sites
The site links out to LinkedIn, GitHub, Google Maps and Geospatial Ventures. Those links are plain hyperlinks — no embedded widgets, no iframes, no share buttons — so nothing is sent to any of them unless you actually click through. Once you do, you are on their site and their privacy policy applies, not mine.
If you email me
My email address is published on this site so that people can contact me. If you write to me, I will hold your message and address for as long as it is useful to have done so, on the basis of legitimate interests in replying to correspondence. My mailbox is provided by Microsoft (Outlook). I will not add you to any mailing list or pass your details to anyone else.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you have the right to ask for access to your personal data, and to ask me to correct it, erase it, restrict how it is used, or object to my using it — along with the right to data portability. In practice I hold nothing about visitors to this site, so a request will usually only be meaningful if you have emailed me.
There is no automated decision-making or profiling on this site.
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. If you are unhappy with how I have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk (opens in a new tab) or on 0303 123 1113.
Children
This site is not directed at children and collects nothing from anyone, of any age.
Changes
If I add anything to this site that changes the picture above — an analytics tool, a contact form, an embedded video — I will update this page and the date at the top before it goes live.
